We import and distribute the original Bauer HK quick coupler products for a variety of piping applications where a method of quick coupling is required. Based in Dayton, Ohio we supply product to manufacturing and end user customers in North America. Bauer couplers are a ball and socket fitting that quickly couples pipe together and offers a solution anywhere pipe, up to 12” diameter, needs to set-up and then moved.

Over 50 years ago Rudolf Bauer invented the now famous ball and socket coupler which has earned worldwide acceptance for applications as divers as mining, contract pumping, dewatering, agriculture, and food production.

The Bauer coupler can be fitted to steel pipe, high density polyethylene, and hose. Millions of Bauer couplers are now in use. Though imitated, nobody matches the quality and durability of the original Bauer HK coupler.

In the mid 70’s we began distributing Bauer agricultural irrigation machines and learned about the many benefits of the Bauer quick coupler first hand. A few years ago local pumping contractors began buying Bauer steel pipe because they saw it in our pipe lot. We

contacted a few others like them and before we knew it a new business was born. We now supply pipe and fittings across North America and have developed our Portable Piping Company as a stand alone business.

Much of the fittings and pipe are imported directly from Bauer in Austria. However, we also operate a fabrication shop which allows us to manufacture fittings, pipe, and specialty items with the Bauer coupler attached. Our Road Crossing improves a common design to be more robust.

We carry several versions of Vac Tubes. We can make a fitting to your specifications with any coupler. The most exciting development is our now patented (US7025390) design to attach the Bauer HK couplers to HD poly pipe, which we call the PolyBarb.

Bauer couplers provide a host of benefits and the products we make with the Bauer coupler builds on those benefits.

Bauer HK couplers are Fast. Even in the dark and with no tools pipe can be quickly connected or disassembled.

Bauer HK couplers are Flexible. The articulating ball and socket design means pipe can be joined at an angle up to 30 degrees. Attachment on uneven ground is much easier than with other couplers that require the pipes to be level with each other.

Bauer HK couplers are Safe. The coupler provides a tight seal for suction and pressure situations up to 290 psi. The Safety Pin option provides a positive lock against accidental release of a coupler.
